Thread City Classical Dance

Thread City Classical Dance is based in Willimantic, CT (not far from UConn’s main campus). We are a non-profit studio managed by parents of our students.

We believe there is value in studying any art for its own sake.

We want our students to learn in a cooperative, non-competitive manner that allows them to blossom as dancers and individuals.

We welcome all sizes, shapes, abilities and ambitions.

Our mission is to promote dance locally by offering affordable recreational dance classes of a such quality that students so desiring could transition to professional training. We believe that access to dance training should not be limited by family income, and offer tuition assistance for low-income youth.
